The 2025 Summer Intensive Information
Schedule:
This intensive is open to all dancers 7yrs and older. Each dancer will be separated into classes based on age and level. The intensive schedule will run July 14 – 24, Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm.
8:00am - 12:00pm - Class time. We will start every morning with a full ballet class with technique and skill building, as well as, contemporary classes.
12:00 - 4:00pm - Rehearsal time, in which dancers will be learning pieces from a classical ballet to perform at the end of the intensive.
With this schedule, individual dancers will not be dancing non-stop throughout the day. Rehearsals will be staggered so that everyone will have breaks and time for lunch and snacks.
Being that our space is limited, and dancers will need the whole of the facility, there will be no parent observation during intensive hours.
If a dancer finishes all of their rehearsals before 4pm they will be able to leave early, but they must be signed out. Every morning attendance will be taken by an instructor. A sign-out sheet will be on the front desk. When picking up your child please come in and sign them out. We cannot guarantee that we will have someone to walk children to cars, so for safety reasons all dancers will be kept inside until they are signed out.
Costs:
There will be a non-refundable $25 registration fee due July 1st. The two week intensive is $250 per dancer due no later than July 4th. Dancers will not pay for costumes, as those will be provided by the Yadanza Ballet.
Dress Code:
Leotard, tights, and ballet slippers are strongly encouraged, but not mandatory. I like to be a little more relaxed in the summer. However, I do ask that everyone keep in mind that this is a Ballet intensive so please do not come to class wearing something that would hinder your movement or with your hair in your face. Also, please make sure you have appropriate footwear, ei. Ballet slippers, jazz shoes, pointe shoes.
All costumes will be provided by the Yadanza Ballet. We have an inventory that I will be going through, cataloging, sizing, and assigning. Some new costumes will also be ordered as needed.
Performances:
There will be a performance at the end of the intensive to showcase all we have learned throughout the two weeks.
Saturday, July 26th @ Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts
*Performance dates may be subject to change.*
